Venue
The venue for the conference is the Cable Factory (Kaapelitehdas) cultural centre near downtown Helsinki. It is situated in the Ruoholahti district of Helsinki next to the water where the bridge crosses to the island of Lauttasaari.

How to get there

We recommend these:
• By subway "metro": around 3 minutes + 5 minutes walk in the end towards the sea.
Get off at Ruoholahti station which is two stops from the main Railway Station's metrostation towards the west (LÄNTEEN in Finnish) or one stop from Kamppi metrostation towards the west (LÄNTEEN in Finnish).
• By sharing a taxi with other participants. A taxi will cost app. 15 euros to Cable Factory.
Or, if you like:
• By walking: (for instance from KlausK Hotel around 30 minutes, 2,6 km)
• By bus: several busses go to Cable Factory from the city center in 10 minutes. See the map and timetables from our easy Journey Planner: <http://aikataulut.ytv.fi/reittiopas/en/, or check from your hotel reception for schedules to buses 20, 21V, 65A and 66A, or T-busses to Espoo along Porkkalankatu. Get off just across the street opposite to Cable Factory.
• By car: parking space in Ruoholahti is very limited so we recommend you to use other means of transportation. Car parking is though available in the surroundings of the building and in the Ruoholahti Shopping Centre (200 metres walk). All subject to a charge.
Registration / Information Desk
The conference entrance is door M4 at the inner court of the Cable Factory. Registration / Information Desk locates right inside and serves conference guests all day.
Coffee & Lunch
Coffee/tea and lunches included in the conference fee are served at the Cable Hall.
There`s another restaurant/café/bar Hima & Sali which is open 8.30-21.00.
Internet
There`s an open access (wlan) connection available for free of charge.
Smoking
Smoking is allowed only outside.
Exhibition and Conference Dinner
The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma
Mannerheiminaukio 2 (at the city centre)
The venue for the Art evening and buffet will be Kiasma, the Museum of Contemporary Art. As Kiasma is the place for pleasure and experience, in addition to dinner you will have a unique opportunity to experience a cross-section of the Finnish contemporary art.
